4RV/2
voter systems
The 4RV/2 signal-to-noise
voter is used with FM receivers to increase a radio systems receive coverage
area. A voted system would consist of multiple receivers on the same frequency.
The 4RV/2 voter monitors each receiver and selects ("votes") the one with
the best signal-to-noise ratio. By "voting" the receiver with the best
signal, the systems received range can be greatly increased. Systems can
consist of receivers geographically separated or combined with receivers
in a diversity setup with the receivers all at one location fed by directional
antennas.
